I’m still learning how to get this thing to work, but in the meantime, I’m trying to post some personalized content. Here are a few things about me.
Queer femme. Librarian and infogeek. Pedestrian. Yogini. Traveler. Writer. Polymath. Gadfly. Quiet extrovert. Intense. Serious. Fun. Persistent. Goofy. Mildly compulsive (hah! you figure it out!!). If you had a rock band, and I was a member of it, I would be your bass player.
The name for this blog comes from my belief that we all bloom in our own time, and there is no speed that’s the right one. It is a reminder that the pace at which I do things is my pace and is it not good or bad. It reminds me to focus on what I want to create, and not get distracted by all the wonderful and distracting things happening as they appear to zoom by. I often feel that I move at a snail’s pace, and yet, perceptions are strange and funny and may or may not reflect a larger reality. And this is my (hu)manifesto.
You can often find me chattering about various and sundry topics related to the above on Twitter.
All comments are screened. As evidenced by the Slow Bloom philosophy, it may take me a couple of days to get to approving them. Once you’ve commented, you will be approved in the future!
Hey! I’d be the bass player too. I’ve thought about that a lot… for sure, bass. Slow, steady, keep the heart of the band going through that driving rhythm that creates a foundation for everyone to riff off of.
Welcome to club! Love it!
slow or not, 🙂 thank’s for dropping by my blog and taking the time to leave a comment.. appreciated 🙂
My pleasure, and likewise!
Hello! Love the theme of your blog. Hail to the slow bloomers!
Thank you! More and more I’m just about slowing down. Welcome!
I think in the right room, you could set aside that bass and make an excellent lead singer.
And sometimes the bass player gets to play lead! Thank you :).
